Inspiring writer and friend Jen Hirt asked me to video record my reading of “Foxes I’ve Seen By Now” to publicized her forthcoming book Too Many Questions About Strawberries (Tolsun Books, November 2018). In creating this video, I focused on the journey theme and called attention to the poem’s images. Using a minimalist approach to the illustrations, I kept the video’s focus on the language of the poem. Using Jen’s photographs for the foundation of several illustrations, I  included Jen’s perspective and personal history in the visual element of the video.

Purchase her book at the Tolsun Books bookstore. To purchase a copy of The Turnip Truck(s) road issue, where the poem originally appeared, visit The Turnip Truck(s) store.
